enter (i used to skate once)
high school days i was a skateboard owner. i started this board sport as i was a tomboy that hated dresses and wore tees & shorts as my everyday attire. before i owned a skatey i was a rollerblader, hard to believe if you'd seen my delicate physique back in the day (not too much has changed over the years). the switch to skatey occured as the times changed and rollerblading become the lower spectrum of cool! unfortunately i was not a california girl where rollerblading seems to never fall from its high perch. being a young sheep at the time i changed my ways and bought a skatey setup. i wasn't too good, tick tacking like an uncoordinated creature. id spend hours learning how to ollie with no success. the once green grass now occupied with holes due to my many fail attempts. as time passed, the less id skate, until i eventually sold my skatey to an aspiring younger me, who too had the high hopes of nailing the tricks and cruising the streets by board. now i look back wish id kept it going, especially upon view of these skater girls!
